Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest

Alas Kedaton Forest is a small forest measuring about 6-7ha located in the middle of rice fields in Kukuh Village, Marga District, Tabanan Regency. In this forest there is a temple called Alas Kedaton and has a natural environment that looks green with fresh air and creates a calm, serene and holy atmosphere. In this place you will see hundreds of monkeys in their natural habitat. It's one of Bali's attractions where monkeys exist, free and peaceful. The monkeys in Alas Kedaton are very tame and free to roam the temple grounds, so the calm atmosphere is sometimes broken by the noise of monkeys playing and fighting for food. The monkeys that live in this forest, some are jumping on the walls of the temple, bathing in the ditch or some are hanging out on some leaves representing the impression of the view. Monkeys as temple guards are always ready to greet every visitor who visits this place. Apart from monkeys, you can also find bats and several other animals in the Kedaton forest. At least 24 species of clumps have been identified in Alas Kedaton. High above the big trees many bats roam and sing loudly. It's very easy for visitors to create videos, pictures - and food can be brought in to be presented to the monkeys although sometimes this makes you the target of monkey robbery which may be an interesting experience
